Seminar addresses the issues facing SMEs across the region

Following the highly successful Finance in Cornwall event in 2012, leading chartered accountants and business advisers Francis Clark are holding a further seminar to address the issues facing SMEs across the region and the funding and support streams that are open to them.

The “Finance in the South West” seminar is aimed at owner managers who need clarification of the funding streams available to them and who are looking for a way through what many consider to be a “funding maze”.

Lewis Banfield, a partner at Francis Clark will chair the meeting at Exeter Racecourse in February.  He said: “We have brought together major providers of business funding and support who will provide succinct presentations to assist owner/managers in ascertaining whether a particular funding stream is right for them.

“There will also be case studies, targeted sessions dedicated to “Early Stage” and “Development” businesses and detailed consideration of funding types including grants, debt and equity.

“At a time when many believe funding is not available to help the economy recover, this seminar has a crucial role to play for owner/managed businesses throughout the region.”

The free of charge “Finance in the South West” Seminar takes place from 8.30am-2pm at Exeter Racecourse on Wednesday 27th February 2013.  Places are limited to two representatives per business and reservations can be made by visiting www.francisclark.co.uk/news-views/events or by emailing Mary.Hooper@francisclark.co.uk
