On Sunday 4th October a Car Treasure Hunt will take place in and around East Devon starting in the car park at Greendale Farm Shop (EX5 2JU), from 1.30 – 2.30pm.    The Treasure Hunt (including a couple of walking sections) takes about 3 hours to complete and there will be all sorts of things to look out for along the route.   Teams, of which there needs to be at least two adults will be issued on arrival with details of the route to follow, all in rhyme.

The secret destination is a pub in East Devon where a choice of meals, including Roast Dinner & Fish & Vegetarian options will be available if required – choose and pay on the day.  At the end there will also be a few fun quizzes to help raise further funds.   Well-behaved dogs on leads will be welcome in various areas of the pub.  Map reading and local knowledge are not necessary.

Carol Rowe, organiser of the event, said “it is set to be brilliant fun.  What better way to spend a few hours exploring the local area and looking for clues, having fun and ending up relaxing in a great pub.   We are hoping to raise lots of money for the East Devon Support Group of Parkinson’s UK”.

To take part, contact Carol on 01395 226905 or email carol@ex8.co.uk as soon as possible as places are limited.

The charity is dedicated to providing support and friendship to local people with this progressive neurological disease for which there is currently no cure.  Extra funding will help support local people with Parkinson’s so that they can attend the regular monthly meetings and outings organised for the group.

Entry for the Treasure Hunt costs £10 per car, payable in advance.   For further info or a booking form please contact Carol Rowe on 01395-226905 or carol@ex8.co.uk
