Have an egg-cellent Easter with Hospiscare

Egg-cellent local charity Hospiscare is looking for people to get involved with its Easter Extravaganza raising money to help people living with a terminal illness in Exeter, mid and east Devon.

The charity launched the Easter campaign last week, offering people the chance to win luxury Easter eggs as they fundraise for the charity this Spring.

Community Fundraiser Susie Healey said: “We’re inviting anyone from groups of friends and families to offices, factories, schools, pubs, restaurants, retail outlets and hair salons, to get involved with the Easter Extravaganza.

“Hospiscare will supply people with posters, a lucky squares board and a luxury Easter egg. In return we are asking people to buy the £1 lucky squares to be in with the chance of winning some delicious chocolate this Easter.”

Although this will be the first year Hospiscare has run its Easter Extravaganza Campaign, more than £7k was raised last year when charity ran it’s Christmas Hamper Appeal.

But Susie said that the Extravaganza would be a different campaign with minimum effort required to get involved and raise money.

She said: “The Easter Extravaganza is completely different to the Christmas Appeal in that we aren’t asking people to supply their own food to raffle. So this is a real no-brainer, all you have to do is sell the lucky squares to people and send the money into Hospiscare.

“It’s a very low-maintenance campaign that will bring a little bit of Easter fun to everyone, while helping Hospiscare to raise funds to continue to provide free of charge, high-quality care and support to those who need it most.”

The charity is currently looking for people to donate Easter eggs to the campaign, helping to keep costs down and raise as much money as possible.

Susie said: “Any donation would be greatly appreciated. We would like to supply anyone who signs up for the Easter Extravangza with an egg to the value of about £5 so we really do need some help to be able to provide the eggs and make this campaign a great success.”
