Marathon effort for Devon mum
A Devon mum will be running her first marathon next month to raise much-needed funds for Rowcroft Hospice.
Tracey Granger, who works as a graduate legal executive within the Private Client team at the Newton Abbot office of WBW Solicitors, will be taking part in the London Marathon on April 13.
Tracey said: “I’ve run a few half marathons, but never a full one, so it’s going to be quite a challenge. Cancer is an illness which touches everybody’s lives in some way, so I am proud that all my sponsorship money will be going towards Rowcroft, which is such a valuable service for people in Devon and does an amazing job caring for people with terminal illnesses.”
Tracey, 41, will be cheered-on by her five-year-old son Jake and all her colleagues at the Church House office of WBW Solicitors, which has been supporting Rowcroft as its nominated charity for over a decade.
Laura Cameron, Community Fundraising Manager at Rowcroft Hospice, said: “We are absolutely delighted that Tracey has decided to run the London Marathon for Rowcroft Hospice and wish her all the best for her incredible challenge.
“Over 70% of our funding comes from the generosity of our local community and we are so grateful to each and every person who chooses to support us.”
