Exwick Heights Primary School Art Club brighten up Exeter Foodbank’s new home

Pupils and staff at Exwick Heights Primary School , part of the Ted Wragg Trust are delighted to be the very first school to have taken up the challenge of providing Exeter Foodbank with some artwork for their new home in Cowick Street.

Members of the Art Club at the school put brushes to paper and created some colourful paintings for the foodbank to put on display. The foodbank’s new venue is brilliant but with white walls and grey floors throughout, it did need some cheering up!

University of Exeter introduces Digital Internship Scheme for students

The University of Exeter has welcomed nine students from a variety of faculties and subjects on its Digital Internship Scheme through its Student Campus Partnership.

The interns will take up the role of Digital Strategy Communication and Engagement Assistants and will support the Digital team with communication and engagement activity for the Digital Strategy and any of its associated products, services, and events, especially those related to the student experience and digital upskilling.

Bikeability in Devon - 100,000 and counting!

More than 100,000 children in Devon have now received Bikeability cycle training.

The impressive milestone has been reached after 17 years of the scheme being run in the county by Devon County Council.

West Exe School pupil Beatrice Stothert is the 100,000th Bikeability trainee in Devon. To celebrate the occasion, she was presented with a certificate by Councillor Stuart Hughes, Devon County Council Cabinet Member with responsibility for cycling.
