Halloween zombie fun at one of Devon’s most popular attractions
Prepare for Halloween horrors as bloodthirsty zombies return to one of Devon’s most popular tourist attractions.
Following the success of last year’s event, The Bear Trail, which is based between Exeter and Cullompton, is once again being turned over to hordes of creepy zombies.
Sign up now for the event, which takes place on Sunday, October 28. Tackle the trail, wade through the muddy ditches and swing out of the reach of the dangerous lurching zombies as they give chase across the trail’s obstacles – and remember, beware what lurks beneath…
Ben Jordan, owner of the Bear Trail, said: ‘We were really pleased with the event last year. Seeing families together running away from our terrifying zombies was great; but don't worry about the event being too scary - it's a family day suitable for children of all ages.
‘As you tackle The Zombie Trail, you must try to escape the clutches of the evil undead as they jump out from ditches, hide behind boulders and lurk around every corner. Be sure to wear clothes that can get muddy and dirty; and if you want to confuse them, then you can dress as a Zombie too! It’ll be a dangerous mission – but if everyone sticks together and helps each other we are sure we can defeat these undead.’
Entrants will be able to choose a two-hour slot and can go around the trail as many times as they like. They have to try to stop the zombies pulling off the three tags which will be fastened to a waistband. If they survive with at least one tag intact they will receive the coveted ‘Survivor’ medal. Those who do not manage to successfully dodge the zombies will receive the ‘Infected’ medal. There Bear Trail is a family-friendly attraction for all ages – so there are special colour-coded tags to ensure younger members of the family can enjoy the day – without being too scared.
The trail also needs volunteer zombies – so if you fancy a day as the living dead, email marketing@thebeartrail.co.uk for more information.
The Zombie Trail takes place on Sunday, October 28, from 10.30am -12.30pm and from 2pm-4pm. Ticket prices start from £5.50 for under five-year-olds to £16.50 for an adult ticket. A limited number of early bird adult tickets are available at £13.50.
