Exeter’s largest art exhibition returns again this year under a new guise and with a new name.

The Exeter Art Show promises to be bigger and better than ever and with up to 150 different artists exhibiting their works, it is doubtful that there is any one show than can claim to be so big this side of Bristol!

Hosted by the Maynard School in the centre of Exeter, the doors will be open to the public on Saturday, 4 and Sunday, 5 July 2015 where anyone can quite simply pop in free of charge to browse or, for the more serious art collector, buy! Those notable artists to be confirmed so far include: Alan Cotton, Kate Aggett, Kat Lightfoot, Tina Morgan and Ken Howard RA.

Further details of confirmed exhibitors and links to their work can be found on www.exeterartshow.co.uk which is continually changing and being updated as more artists are signed up.

“Rarely will such an eclectic range of artists be seen exhibiting under the same roof together and we are so excited to have booked some of the country’s absolute finest mixed with a fantastic group of West Country artists,” says event organiser, Helen Reynolds.

“In booking the artists for the Show I’ve tried to make sure that we have as much variety as possible in terms of medium used and subject matter. I’m almost being overwhelmed by people hoping to exhibit, I guess because of the outstanding reputation the Show has built up over the years.”

With a vast choice of media, from ceramics to oil paintings, sculpture to automata, visitors can buy at prices to suit every pocket, from £10 to £10,000.

Traditionally the Show has been partnered by a worthy, local charity and this year the organisers are delighted to announce that they have linked up with the Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) All commission raised through the sale of works will be donated to the CHSW and towards an Art Bursary for a Sixth Form student to attend the school.

“We just ask the public to just please come along and enjoy the fantastic array we have lined up for you whilst helping to raise funds for these very worthy charitable causes!” says Mrs Reynolds.

“In the meantime, keep an eye on the show’s website – www.exeterartshow.co.uk - for further developments and all other information!”
