The Darkness of the Moor film premiers on Dartmoor
The Devon media premiere of The Darkness of the Moor took place this week at the Dartmoor National Park Visitor Centre in Princetown, Devon.
This latest film from One Big Mop Productions is set entirely on Dartmoor and is a horror thriller about the moor itself and surrounding legends. Filming completed in March this year.
120 people attended the event including the cast, crew and representatives from several local organisations involved in the production.
The event also coincided with the media launch of the film’s own exhibition which will continue indefinitely.
The exhibition includes set photographs, display material, film props, DVD sales and the film trailer. The centrepiece of the exhibition is a stunning work of art that depicts The Evil Rider and the Great Storm of Widecombe-in-the-Moor, a local legend that the devil attacked the church that fateful night of October 1638. The artwork is to be auctioned to benefit The Prince’s Trust.
The exhibition is open to the public from Friday 28th July 2017.
The film DVD is available via all DNPA Visitor Centres.
