Exeter School Art Department is hosting the annual WESC Art exhibition in the Art Gallery.

The Private View took place on Monday evening and was attended by special guest, Barrie Goodfellow, a local visually impaired artist who has been working with the pupils this year.

Irena Boobyer, WESC Foundation Art teacher, said: “This year, pupils and students helped to celebrate gaining the Artsmark by creating amazing mixed-media art artworks inspired by visiting artist Barrie Goodfellow.

“Mixing sand into paint to create texture was both messy and fun and the results are truly sensational. Congratulations for another great year of making art!”

Head of Art at Exeter School, Alison Dyer, said: “We are very honoured to host the annual WESC exhibition and it is great to see the pupils being inspired to work in new and exciting ways by a local artist facing similar challenges.”
