Charlotte sings in tribute to Drummer Lee Rigby

Exeter singer songwriter Charlotte Ward is to perform at a concert in tribute to murdered soldier Lee Rigby. Over £8,000 has been raised for a trust fund for Lee Rigby's 2 year old son Jack and will be handed over to his trust fund at the event in Market Harborough, Leicestershire, next Saturday.

Charlotte was spotted by organiser Gary Gardner, one of the judges for the Open Mic UK competition: "He came to find me straight after my performance and asked me to play at the concert. It's such a privilege".

Charlotte performed one of her own songs, Sofar, to get through to the national semi-finals of Open Mic UK. Judges commented "Great voice and a lovely stand out song".
