Wimbledon to be screened in Princesshay

Make it a day at Princesshay at our free Wimbledon event from Monday 2nd – Sunday 15th July.

With live screenings of the legendary sporting event, free tasters and competitions, there’s no reason to stay indoors, come over and soak up the atmosphere.

Forget Murray Mound, the place to catch all the action this year is Princesshay! This year, for the first time, join others to watch the matches, free of charge, on an outdoor screen in Princesshay Square. Pull up a deck chair, drink in the atmosphere and cheer along to each of the matches.

Wimbledon matches will be screened from Monday 2nd July right through to the men’s final on Sunday 15th July. Fans can find a seat outside Café Rouge, Coal Grill & Bar and Costa to watch the matches while enjoying some al fresco dining.

Choose from the restaurants’ summer menus, kick back and enjoy being waited on. You may also be lucky enough to taste samples during the games from the variety of dishes and flavours available from Princesshay restaurants.

In between matches, indulge in a spot of retail therapy. Browse the stores for this year’s summer trends and update your holiday wardrobe with cool dresses, sandals, sunglasses and hats in summery pastels or this season’s colour trend, ochre.

If you find yourself feeling inspired by the action on screen, Exeter University Tennis Club will be hosting a mini tennis trial event for those keen to have a go themselves on Bedford Street between the High Street and Princesshay Square on Saturday 7th July.
