Art celebrating Queen's 90th birthday comes to Exeter
A unique piece of artwork celebrating HM The Queen’s 90th birthday will be on show at Castle Fine Art, Exeter on Cathedral Yard from Monday 13th June.
With public celebrations and events taking place throughout the UK from Friday 10th – Sunday 12th June, British artist Nic Joly – who specialises in creating miniature wall sculptures – has produced a new piece in honour of the longest reigning Monarch in British history.
Named ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ the hand-signed, framed wall sculpture is being produced in an edition size of 90 – a nod to HM The Queen’s age. It features The Queen holding a 90th balloon underneath a string of miniature bunting with one of her beloved corgis at her side.
Nic Joly originally started sculpting as a hobby, crafting the miniature characters out of clay, paper and wire to hide around his home for his children to find. In time, this passion escalated into a full time profession, which now sees him represent observations on life on a miniature scale. Each intricate figure is created by hand without a magnifying glass before being cast in bronze and painted.
Nic Joly’s work is exclusively published by Washington Green Fine Art, the industry’s leading fine art publisher, and available to buy from Castle Fine Art galleries, and other independent retailers, nationwide.
