Early Bird Deadline Looms for Sounds of the Summer
Music lovers have just days left to save money on tickets for this year’s must-see concert at Newton Abbot Racecourse before the Early Bird booking offer closes on Sunday 30 April.
Taking place on Sunday 16 July, Sounds of the Summer will see some of the UK’s best-loved artists grace the stage.
Fans who purchase their tickets prior to Sunday 30 April can join the scores of music lovers who have already taken advantage of the Early Bird offer to save on their ticket price.
Earlier this year Newton Abbot Racecourse announced that its third summer concert would be headlined by UK reggae royalty, UB40.
Fans can see Duncan Campbell, Robin Campbell, Norman Hassan, Brian Travers, Earl Falconer and James Brown perform some of their greatest hits live including Red Red Wine, Rat in Mi Kitchen, One in Ten, Cherry Oh Baby, King and Food for Thought.
Joining UB40 on the night will be very-special guests, All Saints. The much-loved girl band shot to fame in the 1990s and notched up an impressive 12 million record sales, five number one singles, two multi-platinum albums and two Brit awards with hits like Never Ever, Pure Shores and Rocksteady. Also taking to the stage in July will be chart-topping eighties band Fine Young Cannibals, famous for hits such as She Drives Me Crazy and Good Thing.
Opening the show will be New Wave English pop/rock band China Crisis, whose chart success throughout the 1980s included five Top 40 singles and three Top 40 albums including Wishful Thinking and Red Sails.
Speaking ahead of the concert, Patrick Masterson, Managing Director at Newton Abbot Racecourse said: “With the concert now less than three months away this is the last chance for music fans to save on their tickets before the Early Bird offer closes at the end of the month. “We’ve had a great response to the show and artist announcements so far. It’s shaping up to be a fantastic evening and we can’t wait to welcome UB40, All Saints, FYC and China Crisis plus all of their fans to Newton Abbot Racecourse.”
Duncan Campbell, lead singer of UB40, added: “The band has some great memories of both playing and holidaying in Devon and Cornwall so we’re really looking forward to coming back this summer and sharing our music with our fans, new and old. It’s going to be great fun!” Tickets are available at the Early Bird price of just £27.75 inclusive of booking fee for adults until Sunday 30 April.
After this date, tickets will be available at the full ticket price.
