Exeter School choral group to perform at TEDx Exeter
Exeter School's Vocal Ensemble is looking forward to performing at TEDx Exeter for the first time.
The choral group is made up of 18 of the school's finest singers aged 15-18.
Music Teacher Mrs Mitchell said they were very excited about the opportunity. "We will be singing a range of music from the Renaissance, through to the contemporary classical music of Eric Whitacre," she said.
Exeter School's Vocal Ensemble was formed in 2008 in response to requests from the wider community to provide a small, portable, vocal group to perform at a variety of concerts and events.
Vocal Ensemble has sung at weddings, for dinners and a variety of outreach occasions. Their repertoire covers a broad range of music from jazz, pop and classical genres, and can be contacted via music@exeterschool.org.uk.
The TEDx Exeter event takes place at the Exeter Northcott Theatre on 28 March. For more information visit www.tedxexeter.com/events/tedxexeter-2014
