Every Friday and Saturday throughout December, visitors to Killerton house and parkland can enjoy the festive spirit and colourful light displays.

Three majestic 20ft Christmas trees greet visitors at the entrance to the house, while the parkland has a magical feel as spectacular coloured lights create beautiful shapes and shadows among the trees. Visitors familiar with Killerton’s paths, will see green, red and purple lights cast onto historic Sweet Chestnut trees, as well as willow reindeer and other estate landmarks.

Assistant Property Manager, Denise Melhuish says: "We’re really thrilled to keep our doors open for longer in the run up to Christmas, our displays look more striking as daylight fades; the estate comes alive after dark."

Christmas at Killerton late night openings every Friday and Saturday throughout December until 6pm. The house and costume exhibition are open daily, 11am-4pm until 5 January 2014 (closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day).

Killerton Garden and Parkland open 10.30am until dusk everyday throughout the year.
