Mechanic Johnny is desperate to leave home, but national service is a year away. In the meantime, his treasured Triton motorcycle takes his mind off his troubles. Former public schoolboy Len has a rare Navy posting and Danny is a carefree farm labourer.

Morgan Smith lives in Hastings and is now retired. She has an OU honours degree in Earth Science as well as an archaeology qualification from the University of Sussex. Her favourite job ever was with the Hastings Museum Service.
Morgan has enjoyed writing since she was a child and her addiction for writing fiction came when she won first prize in a magazine short story competition. A story, Shining Sands won a certificate of merit from Mere Literary Festival and Triton itself was long-listed for the 2018 Peggy Chapman-Andrews ‘First Novel Award’.
