Following their last sensational sellout show at Exeter Phoenix, Soft Machine have embarked on a highly successful tour of Canada and the States and remain in huge demand throughout the UK and Europe.
Compatriots of Pink Floyd, they are no strangers to America where, in their early days, they toured with the likes of Jimi Hendrix which led them to winning a worldwide following which is as strong as ever.
They have been the major force in the psychedelic, jazz/rock scene since the mid the mid 60s and have always featured amazing talent such as: DAEVID ALLEN, KEVIN AYERS, JACK BRUCE, ELTON DEAN, ALLAN HOLDSWORTH, HUGH HOPPER, KARL JENKINS, JOHN MARSHALL, DICK MORRISSEY, MIKE RATLEDGE, RIC SANDERS, ANDY SUMMERS & ROBERT WYATT to name but a few!
The current line up of FRED BAKER, JOHN ETHERIDGE, ASAF SIRKIS & THEO TRAVIS is considered by many to be their best ever with members playing with such luminaries as: VIKKI CLAYTON, ROBERT FRIPP, GONG, STEPHANE GRAPPELLI, ICARUS, JAH WOBBLE, WILKO JOHNSON, NIGEL KENNEDY, JIM MULLEN, PORCUPINE TREE, DANNY THOMPSON etc.
