What is an even money bet?
An even money bet is defined by its odds and its chances of winning.
With all even money bets, there is a just below 50% chance of the bet winning the game. However, a win is never guaranteed.
As there is a high possibility of the even money bets winning, they have a lower betting odd attached to them.
Even money bets and how to place them
Red or Black
A red or black bet concentrates on the colours of the wheel’s pocketed compartments, rather than the numbers themselves. Due to the zero(s) pocket being of green colour, there is a just below 50% chance of a player correctly predicting the winning pocket’s colour. With the green pocket(s), they too are not included within the black or red category.
To place a red or black bet, a player will need to place a betting chip(s) inside the box either stating the words ‘red’ or ‘black’ or the box that is block coloured with either red or black.
When a player places a chip(s) within the red box, for example, their bet will cover every red pocket of the wheel.
The betting odds attached to the red or black bet is 1:1.
High or Low
A high or low bet concentrates on the value of the numbers rather than the numbers themselves. Numbers 1 to 36 have been split into two categories – high and low.
Numbers 1 to 18 are classed as low. Numbers 19 to 36 are classed as high.
You’ll notice that just like the red or black bet, the zero(s) of the game is not included in this bet category type, therefore the chances of correctly predicting the value of the winning number are just below 50%.
To place a high or low bet, a player will need to place their betting chip(s) within the box stating either ‘high’ or ‘low’.
When a player places a chip(s) within the low box, for example, their bet will cover all numbers between 1 and 18.
The betting odds attached to the high or low bet is 1:1.
Odd or Even
An odd or even bet concentrates on the category of the number, rather than the numbers themselves. Numbers 1 to 36 have been split into odds and evens, with the zero(s) once again not being included in this.
Due to the zero(s) not being included, there is just below 50% chance of a player correctly predicting whether the winning number will be either odd or even.
To place an odd or even bet, a player will need to place a betting chip(s) within the box stating either ‘odd’ or ‘even’.
When a player places a chip(s) within the odd box, for example, all numbers that fall within the odd category will be wagered upon.
The betting odds attached to an odd or even bet is 1:1.
