World Famous gospel choir heads to Exeter
Imagine performing alongside Kylie, Madonna, Sting, James Brown, Sir Elton John and Sir Paul McCartney…. Well the world renowned London Community Gospel Choir have been there and done that! Combining rich harmonies and invigorating vocal gymnastics, the LCGC is an infectious celebration of gospel, swing-beat, R'n'B and soul.
And on 2nd December they’re coming to Exeter at the University Great Hall for a unique and must see concert.

Whether recording World Cup anthems, appearing on the X Factor or performing at Glastonbury, the London Community Gospel Choir have performed all over the world to critical acclaim.
Some other highlights of the choir include:
• Singing on the backing track "Circle of Life" as part of the soundtrack to The Lion King
• LCGC performed for the former South African president Nelson Mandela during his first visit to London in July 1996
• Featured on albums by Will Young, Westlife and other Top 10 artists
• In 2005 LCGC gained a worldwide audience as the backing choir for Madonna's Live 8 performance of her hit single "Like a Prayer”
• LCGC performed with Eric Clapton on the song "Holy Mother".
• LCGC joined Kylie Minogue performing at Hyde Park in 2012
• Joined Blur to perform "Tender" at the 2012 Brit Awards after picking up a special award for Outstanding Contribution to Music.

The concert is organised by the church who are also hosting an all age festive event on 3rd December at the Great Hall.
The ‘Big Christmas Extravaganza’ will include Christmas carols, live music, games, guest interviews and much more! This will be an unmissable life-filled event, overflowing with the positive vibes of Christmas joy.
People from Exeter are encouraged to come along and kick start the most wonderful time of the year in style! With plenty of laughs, fun, prizes and surprises, the church will be welcoming hundreds of people from across the area for this celebratory, festive-filled morning.
Entry is completely free for the Sunday event and it begins 11am. It will also be broadcast live online on the church’s website.
