Comedy of Errors

Little Moments

Frank is a welsh spoken word artist, David is a scottish multi-instrumentalist and by the power of Greyskull they are… Frank and Dave. Lapstock 2017
Friday & Saturday, Lapford Mill, Lapford
Music at the Mill features 30 bands/performers on three stages over two.  Friday night showcases young local talent and is free of charge.  Headline acts on the main stage (Saturday) include Tankus the Henge and Lionstar both having played Glastonbury. Plenty of stalls and activities including ukulele and didgeridoo sessions, children's drum workshop, storytelling, yoga and jewellery making. Local real ale, cider and food stalls. Limited camping available.Tickets in advance adult £15, young person (5-17yrs) £5. Concert: Mad Dog Mcrea, Wildwood Kin & The B-Minors
Saturday, 7pm, Sheldon Open Air Theatre, Doddiscombsleigh
Saturday’s gala night opens with The B-minors, a young family trio from Ireland performing a mix of traditional & modern Irish folk.  To follow are local headliners of the BBC Introducing stage – Wildwood Kin with their anglo/americana style and sublime close harmony.  Mad Dog Mcrea close off the evening with their infectious blend of folk rock, pop, gypsy jazz, bluegrass and ‘backside-shaking’ music.  www.sheldontheatre.co.uk  

Loco Terrace Party

The Summer Show
Devon Guild of Craftsmen, Riverside Mill, Bovey Tracey TQ13 9AF
This year marks the 62nd annual Summer exhibition of selected pieces by Devon Guild Members. The show features a diverse range of contemporary craft from across the South West. You can also gain an insight into what makers do all day with diary snapshots of Members' everyday lives displayed alongside the exhibits. Hannah Murgatroyd: Landscape as a Peopled World

Hannah Murgatroyd’s works can be seen as island spaces of the imagination; painted and drawn worlds inhabited by protagonists who spring from a history of the body, as told through high art, popular culture and personal narrative. Her images often explore a moment of desire; one that is owned equally by men and women. The exhibition runs until 2 September. Open 10am-5.30pm daily. www.exeterphoenix.org.uk

Sea Life: Glimpses of the Wonderful
RAMM, Queen Street Exeter
Catch a glimpse of the magic and mystery of the world under the sea. Dive in, and delight in the wonders of aquatic life. Through a playful mix of historic objects, film, illustrations, live creatures and contemporary craft, the exhibition combines science and art to inspire a greater appreciation of Devon’s glorious coastline for visitors of all ages. The exhibition runs until 17 September, open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am-5pm.
