Gone Wild Festival Announces Sensational Summer 2025 Line-up

Gone Wild, the UK’s ultimate family adventure, will return to Powderham Castle in Devon 21st-24th August 2025.

The World Beard and Moustache Championships was held in Antwerp, Belgium in May this year, but you don’t have to travel far to see some world-class face fuzz! August 10 will see the return of South West Beard Club’s very own competition, at the Lucky 7 Club in Paignton, Devon. The event will feature some of the finest facial hair from around the UK and further afield, from twirled moustaches, to neatly clipped beards, to the wild freestyle competitors, where anything goes! There are even handmade categories, so those who aren’t blessed with great facial hair can join in the fun.

Ballot box drama for kids brings democracy to life on stage

Cheekily named theatre company ‘Gone to the Dogs Productions’ is bringing a kids’ show about democracy to the Exeter Fringe on 1 stAugust.

Performing at The Barnfield Theatre, the hour-long play called ‘Rox, Paper and The Scissors’ is aimed at 9+years and aims to get children to think about democracy, and why or how we vote.

In the play, three characters – autocratic school bully Rox, head girl (rule of law) Paper, and disruptive class clown The Scissors – battle to become school president, but find out the hard way that not all elections are fought fairly.

A live broadcast of the award-winning Fleabag will be coming to the big screen in Vue Exeter this September courtesy of National Theatre.

The one-woman play, written by and starring Phoebe Waller-Bridge, was the inspiration for the phenomenally successful BBC television show of the same name, and has now returned to the West End after a sold-out New York run.

Staff at the state-of-the-art veterinary hospital at the international animal welfare charity The Donkey Sanctuary will feature on the CBBC show ‘The Pets Factor’ this Friday 19 July. The show will be aired at 9.05am and repeated later in the day at 4.35pm.
