The World Beard and Moustache Championships was held in Antwerp, Belgium in May this year, but you don’t have to travel far to see some world-class face fuzz! August 10 will see the return of South West Beard Club’s very own competition, at the Lucky 7 Club in Paignton, Devon. The event will feature some of the finest facial hair from around the UK and further afield, from twirled moustaches, to neatly clipped beards, to the wild freestyle competitors, where anything goes! Cheekily named theatre company ‘Gone to the Dogs Productions’ is bringing a kids’ show about democracy to the Exeter Fringe on 1 stAugust.

Performing at The Barnfield Theatre, the hour-long play called ‘Rox, Paper and The Scissors’ is aimed at 9+years and aims to get children to think about democracy, and why or how we vote.

A live broadcast of the award-winning Fleabag will be coming to the big screen in Vue Exeter this September courtesy of National Theatre.

The one-woman play, written by and starring Phoebe Waller-Bridge, was the inspiration for the phenomenally successful BBC television show of the same name, and has now returned to the West End after a sold-out New York run.
