Win a spectacular wedding worth £4,000

The brand new Cullompton Community Centre - known as The Venue Cullompton - is launching its new wedding package by offering one very lucky couple a wedding worth £4,000.Volunteer Rowena Cross came up with the idea to coincide with the launch of St Andrew’s Church’s free wedding planning service to couples who live in the Cullompton area.

She said the wedding planning idea came to her as an opportunity to reach out to couples during what is potentially quite a stressful time.“This is a fabulous opportunity for brides and grooms to be, whether they are church-goers or not. I would hope that they remember the love and support given to them on their special day.

“To celebrate this new initiative, we have put together an amazing package offering the services of some of the best suppliers in this part of Devon: a hog roast by The Whole Hog and Veysey Butcher’s, flowers from Culm Florist, a three-tier wedding cake by Aphrodite Cakes, bridal make up and nails by Heyford House Spa, a £100 voucher from Devon Vintage China, bridal hair by Chic, a voucher towards a wedding dress from Exeter’s Bridal Emporium, photography by Pete Cox Photography and entertainment by Mr Ben’s Emporium.”

Local bride-to-be, Amy Havenhand is planning her 2014 wedding on a shoestring and is one of the first to use the new service. She said: “The church and community centre have been so supportive and have shown you don’t have to spend a lot of money to have a beautiful day.” Revd Edward Hobbs, priest in charge, said they wanted to do something to help people at what can be a very stressful time, and show them something of the love and care of God. “We hope to be able to offer a similar service for baptisms and funerals as well,” he said. To enter the competition and be in with a chance of winning this wonderful wedding, couples are invited to come along to The Venue Cullompton's Wedding Fair, Pye Corner, Cullompton, EX15 1JX on Sunday 4 November between 10am and 4pm with Bridal Catwalk show at 11am. Your details will be put into a hat and the lucky winner’s name will be drawn at the end of the fair.
