Naomi Cleaver teams up with kitchen and bathroom showroom

Naomi Cleaver, the television presenter and design expert, has teamed up with a new luxury kitchen and bathroom showroom which has just opened opposite Darts Farm, in Topsham, to offer customers a bespoke interiors service for their home. Sapphire Living Space, established by designer Ross Pollard and property expert Mark Newbery, is the only stockist in the South West of bulthaup kitchens, Spiral Cellars and Toto, Japan’s leading sanitaryware producer who have designed the famous Washlet - a landmark in personal toilet hygiene systems. The 3,500 sq ft showroom is spread over two floors and showcases a wide range of fully functioning luxury fixtures and fittings, so customers will be able to try coffee from a Gaggenau coffee machine or see first-hand how quickly a V-Zug oven heats up. There will be regular cookery demonstrations and interior design masterclasses held in the showroom and Naomi Cleaver, who has advised on the styling of the showroom, is thrilled to be associated with the project. "I am delighted to see the Sapphire Living Space showroom open,” Naomi said. “I am very pleased that they are the exciting new agents for exquisite bulthaup kitchens across the South West.”

Naomi attended the official opening of the showroom, along with Roland Spieth, bulthaup's director of export sales, who said: “bulthaup is represented in more than 50 countries all over the world. Our innovation strength and the consequence in building up an exclusive distribution network are key factors for the success of bulthaup and its partners. The UK is bulthaup´s strongest Export country and with this new showroom in Exeter, we are sure to have an excellent ambassador for the South West”.

Ross has been involved with the design and fitting of kitchens for over 12 years, setting up his own company which has now evolved into Sapphire Living Space. “We hope that people will come to the showroom and see what a real investment a bulthaup kitchen or a bespoke wetroom can be - everything is designed to fit your home and lifestyle, not simply to fill the space available,” Ross says. “We are also very pleased to be able to show the Spiral Cellar, which is the only one on display outside London.” The White Spiral Cellar is a watertight, pre-cast cylindrical system that is sunk into the ground and  can be located anywhere from kitchen to conservatory, workshop to study. The cellar is 2.25m deep and features a rectangular feature glass trapdoor, which is electronically operated. This cellar can keep up to 1,360 bottles in perfect storage conditions and since, like a traditional cellar, it relies on the surrounding earth for its insulation, plus an ingenious air-flow system, it requires no power to maintain its constant temperature. As well as wine, it can also be used as a traditional larder to store certain types of food and produce which need a certain temperature, but not necessarily refrigeration. “As well as traditional bathrooms, we are also able to offer people a full wetroom service, from design to installation,” says Mark, who has been involved in property all his life, both in estate agency and property development. “All our tradesmen are trained to the highest standards and every project is personally overseen by with Ross or myself, as we know how important - and rare - proper customer service all the way through a job is.”
