Cosy Devon to visit Teignbridge Libraries
Find out if you could benefit from free energy saving home improvements worth around £3,050 at a 'pop-up stall' in Teignbridge’s libraries next week.
Energy saving scheme CosyDevon will be at Teignmouth library on 13th August (from 9am to 6pm), Dawlish library on 15th August (from 9am to 5pm) and Newton Abbot’s Passmore Edwards Centre on 16th August (from 9am to 4pm).
CosyDevon is an energy saving scheme launched this month by nine local authorities across Devon, including Teignbridge and energy company E.ON. The scheme will invest £9 million into improving homes across the county by offering replacement boilers and free or subsidised insulation.
The CosyDevon advisor will be on hand to talk about how you can save energy and money and can help you apply for CosyDevon home improvements.
Through the scheme, local homeowners, landlords or private tenants who meet a certain criteria could qualify for:
• A replacement A-rated gas boiler
• Free cavity wall insulation
• Free loft insulation
• Free or subsidised loft top ups
• External wall insulation with finding support from CosyDevon
Cllr John Goodey, Teignbridge District Council’s Executive spokesman for Housing and Planning, said: “Teignbridge is really keen to ensure that everyone has a warm home which costs as little as possible to heat.
“The pop-up CosyDevon events are a great opportunity for people to find out how they can apply for these improvements and save money on their bills.”
Don Leiper, Director of Energy Efficiency at E.ON, added: "I'm immensely proud that E.ON is part of CosyDevon and that we are working with local authorities across Devon to provide energy saving help to thousands of families.
"This scheme will bring significant benefits in making our homes more energy efficient, helping people to reduce their energy consumption and cut their bills. I hope that many people will come along to see what help is on offer."
