Last call for entries for the Michelmores Charity Run 2015
There's still time to enter the Michelmores Charity Run, taking place on Thursday 11 June 2015 at 7pm and fundraising in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Starting the race is ultra-marathon runner Kevin Carr, from Woolacombe, who circumnavigated the globe running 16,300 miles in a record breaking 621 days.
Setting off from Devon in July 2013, Kevin is also the first person to run around the world solo and unsupported, traversing deserts, high-altitude mountain passes and arctic climes – taking in five continents.
The Exeter Chiefs will lead the pre-race warm up.
Now in its 16th year, the Michelmores Charity Run attracts over 1,000 runners, covering a 5km city course starting in the heart of Exeter at the Cathedral Green and finishing at Exeter Castle.
All proceeds raised will go straight to Macmillan Cancer Support, Michelmores' Charity of the Year, to help provide a range of services to people affected by cancer in Devon and across the UK.
