Wear Your Pyjamas To Work Day
FORCE Cancer Charity has designated Thursday April 16 Wear Your Pyjamas To Work Day.
The idea is to lift the spirits of its supporters and help FORCE maintain the services it is offering while the country is in lockdown and beyond.
Wear Your Pyjamas To Work Day is the brainchild of FORCE Fundraising Development Officer Olly Watts.
He explained: “It’s all about having fun while raising awareness and making a small donation to FORCE.
“Whether you work or you're retired, why not wear your PJs for the day. Or if you were planning to spend the day in your PJs anyway, how about wearing your smart clothes as if you were going to work?
“You could even wear fancy dress. We don’t mind, just as long as you’re having fun.”
FORCE would like anyone taking part to text the word PYJAMAS to 70085 to donate £3. Your donation will cost £3 plus your usual standard text message rate.
Olly said: “At this difficult time we are still doing what we can to support people affected by cancer. Currently we're operating a telephone support service for anyone needing help, Monday to Friday 09:30-16:30.
“In addition, we are still able to offer counselling support over the phone and by way of video call. And we are posting a number of short videos from support specialists here at FORCE on our website, offering advice and ideas to help get patients and their families through this difficult time.
“Your £3 will go toward supporting LOCAL people dealing with a cancer diagnosis and who are in need of emotional, practical and psychological support. Thank you.”
