The Eastern Locality of Northern, Eastern and Western Devon Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is looking forward to seeing members of the public at its Board meeting on Wednesday 26 June 2013.

Dr David Jenner, chairman of the Eastern Locality, said he hoped people would come along to the Board meeting to find out about healthcare in their area and how they can get involved.

The Eastern Locality covers Exeter, Mid Devon, East Devon, and as far west as Okehampton and Moretonhampstead (but excluding Ashburton and Bovey Tracey).

“We would encourage people to book a place to come along to our Board meeting to find out all about healthcare in our area.

“We want to make sure patients are given the opportunity to take part in decisions about how local healthcare works and we want them to tell us about how services work now and what changes to services they feel would best meet their needs.”

The Eastern Locality will hold its next Board meeting at Moorhayes Community Centre, Lea Road, Tiverton, EX16 6TN on Wednesday 26 June 2013, from 3pm-5pm. Please note this is a change of venue from what was originally advertised.

The public are welcome to attend the board meeting. Please contact hannah.tapp@nhs.net or 01392 356 097 to book your place (there is no charge for this but space may be limited).

Questions will be taken in advance from the public if relevant to the published agenda; please send questions at least three working days prior to the meeting to d-ccg.easternlocality@nhs.net

Questions arising during or after the meeting can be emailed to the same address and will be responded to within seven days of the meeting.

There are many ways people can get involved in healthcare and they are encouraged to visit the CCG website at www.newdevonccg.nhs.uk to find out more.
