Silverstone Rally School searches for a future rally star every year to participate in a series of rallying events. This year, the winner was a girl named Stephanie Clark who lives in Exeter.

Each year, Silverstone Rally School holds their annual Rally Quest competition. Usually a separate competition will be held for males and females, but this year both sexes competed together. Despite initial uncertainties about competing with the men, Stephanie gave it her all and managed to win the competition outright.

With Women’s Sport Week taking place this week, this is a good example of how women can be celebrated in the sporting world in the UK, even competing with men directly.

Silverstone Rally School stated that “Stephanie shone through on the day by being a very smooth and precise driver and was ahead of the game by a fair amount.  Well done Stephanie!”

The winner of Rally Quest receives free training from Silverstone Rally School and the use of a fully expensed and supported rally car to use in a series or rallies to live the ultimate driving experience.

Stephanie has now taken her MSA Rally License test and is ready to enter her first rally event on 7th June at Abingdon Motorsport CAR-nival.

Stephanie said: “I have always had an interest in motorsports, but never had the money to try my hand at rallying. This Rally Quest competition has given me the opportunity to have a go and I love it! I really have a taste for rallying now and look forward to entering my first event.”
