An online comedic novel by Bideford author Tidy Eye called "I Hate Drunk Monkeys" is welcoming a unique new artist to its team this week.

Ronnie Wreath, who impressed the author and filmmaker his ink and Crow quill abilities, yes you heard that right, has hired Ronnie to scratch out his character's further escapades.

Ronnie is an illustrator, designer, and visual artist and says that he's been "sketching my thoughts and ideas ever since I was a kid. I'd love to doodle and sketch with ball point pens in school notebooks. At grad college I got bored by what I could see being forecast as just another treadmill life, so my keenness blossomed into full time artist ambitions.

My self-taught personal style came from the study of art genres from the early 1300s to the late 1500s and the Art Nouveau movement's Alphonse Mucha, Albrecht Durer,William Morris, Gustav Klimt, Aubrey Beardsley. I do both hand drawn traditional drawings with pen on paper or parchment and digital works."

The I Hate Drunk Monkeys project is an ongoing and free online novel which will be adapted into an animated series produced through Tidy Eye's production company Tidy Eye Films, also based in Bideford.

The novel is based on the author's own Mojave desert experiences and brings dark comedic attention to little known environmental issues including the Salton Sea and the desert's abandoned wind turbine farms as well as controversies across Europe and the UK including animal experimentation, hence the title.
