Two brave teams from the Santander Exeter branch and Bodial Nutrition will push themselves to the limit at the Exeter Rock Solid Race to raise money for St Loye’s Foundation.

From shimmying under barbed wire in pools of mud to crawling through pitch black wet tunnels, Exeter Rock Solid Race, at Escot Park, is a challenge of courage and endurance. The teams are set to battle through obstacles at the race on March 21 and 22.

Santander Exeter branch and Bodial Nutrition, from Paignton, will be raising funds to support St Loye’s Foundation, the Exeter-based charity that supports disabled and disadvantaged people to transform their lives.

Charles Macrae, Director of the Santander Exeter branch, will be leading a team of nine along the 5K Rock Solid Race course.

Charles said: “We’re really excited about running the race. For us it’s an excellent team building day and a great opportunity to support all the good things St Loye’s do! I really encourage people to donate - if you sponsor us on our Mud Busters Virgin Giving page we will match any donations!”

A team from Bodial Nutrition, a sports supplement company based in Paignton, is also raising money for St Loye’s Foundation. Ben Robinson from Bodial Nutrition and five others will courageously take on the gruelling 15K challenge, involving over 50 obstacles as team Bodial Karma.

Ben said: “Last year I ran the 5K when I was much fitter but this year I’m running the 15k. I’m excited and looking forward to the challenge. I’m less excited about the aches, pains, bumps and bruises after but it’s for a fantastic cause and I’d love to raise more money!”

Ben Norman, Head of Marketing and Fundraising at St Loye’s Foundation, said: “We are very grateful to everyone who is braving this exciting and gruelling challenge to raise vital funds for us to help transform the lives of more disabled and disadvantaged people.”
