HRH The Princess Royal presented staff from The Donkey Sanctuary an award in recognition of their employee training last week.

It is the second time the international animal welfare charity has received the Princess Royal Training Award.

Slade House Farm manager Maxine Carter, equine assisted activities development manager Nicky French and learning and development manager Steven James collected the award on behalf of the charity at a ceremony in St James’s Palace, London on 31 October.

Steven James, learning and development manager at The Donkey Sanctuary who received the award from HRH The Princess Royal says: “Receiving the award is an endorsement of our commitment to support staff development at all levels.”

The Donkey Sanctuary was commended for its inspirational commitment to the learning and development of its staff and was among 48 UK organisations and businesses that were commended by the 2018 Princess Royal Training Awards. Other organisations include the Royal Air Force, John Lewis Partnership and Lloyds Banking Group.
