What is your name: Caroline Orr
And what do you do?:
I am the marketing manager for Oxjam Exeter Takeover 2013, a music festival taking place on 19 and 20 October all over the country, which is in aid of the charity Oxfam. I started this voluntary position earlier this year after taking redundancy from my marketing role at a large Exeter employer.
I also work as marketing director for Exeter based marketing/PR agency Astley Media and I am mum to a one-year old daughter.

Friendly, loyal, passionate, sociable, positive
How would you describe Exeter in 5 words?
Historic, interesting, friendly, thriving, home
What brought you to Exeter?
I moved here when I was 12 due to my father’s job
Which part of Exeter or the surrounding area is home?
I grew up in Alphington and now live on the other side of the river in Clyst Heath
What is your favourite place in Exeter?
Cathedral Green
What is your favourite Exeter event?
The Food & Drink Festival, although I am of course hoping that Oxjam will become an Exeter favourite!
What was the last live performance you saw in Exeter and where did you see it?
Last Saturday – we had an Oxjam warm-up event in Princesshay with three of our talented acts playing.
Favourite place to eat out in or near Exeter?
Harry’s Grill Bar
Best coffee in town?
I’m not a coffee drinker but I tend to go to Coffee #1 for tea and cake

The Welcome Cafe on the quay - child friendly with a lovely atmosphere
What one change would you like to see in Exeter?
A better traffic system at Sandygate roundabout – I am constantly witnessing near misses!
Who is your local hero or heroine?
A family friend Ryan Edwards, who has been fighting neuroblastoma, an aggressive childhood cancer since he was two.
Do you belong to any local clubs or societies?
Not at the moment!
What are you up to next?
I will be finishing a CIM marketing diploma which I have put on hold whilst volunteering for Oxjam.
I have recently joined the team at Astley Media, so I am looking forward to getting to know our clients and growing the business!
