Exmouth bungalow fire being treated as suspicious
A joint police and fire service investigation has been launched following a fire at a bungalow in Exmouth which was severely damaged.
The fire broke out at the property in Kay Close, Exmouth at around 8pm on Wednesday 7 August 2013.
No-one was in the property at the time.
The fire, which is being treated as suspicious, spread to other properties causing smoke damage.
Three residents from neighbouring properties were evacuated but no-one was injured.
Local officers are doing house-to-house enquiries in the area.
The investigation into the cause of the fire continues.
DC Jason Skuse said: “We’d like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area. Thankfully no-one was injured but the fire caused extensive damage to the bungalow.”
