Gidleigh Park chef to depart
Andrew Brownsword Hotels and Michael Wignall have announced that Michael is to leave Gidleigh Park. Set to depart after the New Year, Michael is looking forward to commencing a new venture of his own.
The announcement comes two years after Michael joined Gidleigh Park in January 2016 and follows a successful partnership, with Michael being awarded many accolades including two Michelin stars just nine months after starting at the hotel.

Michael Wignall comments "It’s been a pleasure to live and work in Devon, and I am so proud of what I’ve achieved, together with my amazing team at Gidleigh Park. I’m now looking forward to my next venture which I will be announcing in the very near future".
Michael Wignall replaced Michael Caines at Gidleigh. Michael Caineshas since opened his own hotel and Michelin-starred restaurant, Lympstone Manor, near Exmouth.
