Have your birthday photographed for free
A photography student is offering to photograph people's birthday celebrations free of charge and give them a CD containing all the images, in exchange for their help with her photography project.
Karen Sanders, who studies Photography at Bristol UWE, is creating a piece of work which represents the mixed emotions of unwrapping gifts.
She is asking for people to allow her to film them opening just one present, at a venue of their choice, as part of this project.
In return Karen is offering to film any volunteers birthday celebrations for however long they require and will give them all the images from the event on a disc. She is asking for adult and child volunteers in this project.
The project involves having yourself filmed opening just one present and then having a potrait photograph taken.
Clips and images from the birthday celebrations will be exhibited at Bargehouse, London in July. It will also be exhibited on www.karensandersphotography.com.
Karen said:
"I’d really appreciate it if you would consider getting involved and being photographed. It can be quite a quick process and I am able to do it in whichever location you are planning to open your gifts. The larger the range the better of course!"
Karen is available to shoot birthdays in Exeter and Credition from Febuary 1st until the end of April. Karen will only attend birthday celebrations once she has sent you confirmation.
