The hunt is on to find Exeter's finest design
The search is on to find the best design in Exeter.
People are being asked to nominate their favourite building, structure, piece of art, landscaping project or public realm improvements that has been completed during the past year.
Exeter City Council has launched the Browne Jacobson Exeter Design Award, which will be held once a year, to find the best design that 'Makes a positive contribution to the visual appearance of Exeter'. The award is being sponsored by law firm, Browne Jacobson.
Anyone can make a nomination and only a minimum of details will be required - the design being nominated, the nominee and a short brief reasons for putting the design forward.
Cllr Rachel Sutton, Lead Councillor for Sustainable Development and Transport, will be on the judging panel for the Award. She said: "We want anyone and everyone to take part and tell us what they like and why they like it. It could be a building, a piece of artwork or an improvement to the built environment around us. If you feel it makes a positive improvement to the visual appearance of Exeter, then go ahead and vote for it."
Mark Fowles, Partner at Browne Jacobson, said: "We are proud to sponsor this award and to be working with the City Council to celebrate the good things that are happening in the city."
Nominations can be for private or public works but must be publicly visible and/or accessible. The closing date for nominations is 31 May.
