Innovative Breast Form Company Hits The High Street in Exeter This June!

Boost Breast Forms are hitting the high street in Exeter this summer!

Cornwall-based innovators Boost are set to hit the high street in June for their first ever South West pop-up shop. The team will be bringing their innovative breast forms to John Lewis in Exeter, offering customers opportunities to purchase the products in a high street store for the very first time.

“We’re really excited to be bringing our products to Exeter,” Boost co-founder Sam Jackman said. “Not only will we be able to offer fittings and product advice in person for the first time, we hope that shoppers will get to know our brand and help us spread the word about the work that we do.”

Inspired by her Mum’s experiences as a breast-form wearer following a breast cancer diagnosis, Sam co-founded Boost as a way to create a new type of breast form for women who wanted a lighter, airy and comfortable prosthesis. She explained, “Mum found the traditional chicken-filet style breast prosthesis to be hot, sweaty and uncomfortable. She couldn’t wear it for swimming and felt it was cumbersome, especially in the summer. Our products have been designed to offer a different option, providing a comfortable and funky alternative. It’s the ideal summer breast form, providing a cooler shape under clothing but it’s also great for swimming too!”

The Boost team chose Exeter to become the first showcase of their product specifically because of their ties to the Southwest. “We have roots in Cornwall and the Southwest, our products are all designed and manufactured here. So it made sense for us to focus on our local community and offer our first high-street store pop-up locally. When we were offered this opportunity, we jumped at the chance to make it happen” Design Director Chris Hawken explained. “Usually, we sell our products online to women all over the UK, but we know that it can be tricky to know what your size is and whether our breast forms would suit you. This is why we are thrilled to get the opportunity to invite people to come and see us, have a fitting and talk to our team,” Sam adds.
