It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year
Barchester’s Cumberland Grange care home, in Exeter, got in the Christmas spirit by taking a festive horse and Carriage ride up over Woodbury Common this week!
Thanks to Cobs & Carriages, Exmouth, residents and staff had a brilliant time together as they enjoyed a gentle ride across an incredibly beautiful part of Devon in Woodbury.
They didn’t let the weather stop them from having a great time and instead wrapped up in warm, cosy blankets and enjoyed the Christmas music and the wonderful company of each other.
General Manager, Marc said: “We absolutely love being able to take our residents out and about to visit our local area and beyond. A lot of our residents are not from Exeter, and have moved here to be closer to loved ones. So to be able to take them on trips across Devon and integrating our residents into the local community is truly wonderful. It makes us all so happy to experience events like this. It was a fantastic morning and those that went all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.”
Richard, resident at Cumberland Grange said: “It was absolutely fantastic.”
Our varied life enrichment programme keeps residents active, and provides a daily choice of engaging physical, mental and spiritual activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.
