Law firms offer free legal advice drop-in surgeries

Two local solicitor firms, Veitch Penny and The Family Law Company, are teaming up to provide a free, informal ‘drop-in’ legal surgery in Sowton Industrial Estate, Exeter.

Solicitors from both firms will be available at Fresha Café on Bittern Road for one day per month to provide free legal advice to anyone who wishes to drop in. 

No appointment is necessary and the surgery is open to all, without obligation.

Charles Dowell, Managing Partner of Veitch Penny, said: “We recognise that it can be extremely difficult for anyone working in Sowton to access legal advice during the working week as most solicitor firms are based in the city centre.

"Placing ourselves on the doorstep of their workplace means people can easily pop in at a time convenient to them and spend 20 minutes getting advice from a solicitor.”

Solicitors will be available to assist with any query relating to property; Wills, trusts and probate; employment; injury compensation claims; civil disputes; and family law.

Veitch Penny and The Family Law Company will be at Fresha from 7.30am until 4.30pm on Tuesday 18 March, 22 April and 20 May.
