Live catwalk shows for Exeter
Get ready for a fashion fiesta as Style in Exeter returns for a second year this September. Hosted by Exeter Business Improvement District, the event, which takes place in the heart of the city, is a celebration of Exeter’s diverse retail offering with many independent shops invited to take part alongside High Street favourites and department stores.
A wide range of retailers are already lined up to hit the catwalk which will take centre stage in Princesshay Square for Saturday 23 September.
Visitors to this free event will be treated to a day of professionally modelled and compered shows with autumn and winter trends and outfits for men, women and stylish maternity wear. Look out for gorgeous clothing and accessories from city retailers: Stolen from Susie, Moko, Hotter, Jojo Maman Bebe , Toot Garook, White Stuff, Marks & Spencer, Debenhams, John Lewis, Jigsaw, Roundel, River Island, Sanchos Dress, Topshop, Topman, GAP, Chadni Chowk, Mothercare, Velveteen, NGNG, My EX wardrobe, Oasis, House of Fraser, All Saints, Moss Bros, Monsoon, Saltrock, Reiss, New Look, New Look Men, Superdry, Laura Ashley and Lorna Ruby.
The event takes place during Princesshay’s landmark 10th anniversary year and a whole host of family friendly activities await visitors to the square alongside the exciting catwalk shows. From a fun photobooth, face painting, chocolate lollipop decorating, a beauty lounge, balloon and gift card giveaways as well as live music from local musicians Adam Moran, aka Adam in the Hat and Melissa Bel, there will be plenty to entertain the whole family.
Catwalk shows will take place from 11am to 4pm. Each collection will comprise a 20 minute show. Exeter’s stylish women and men can pick up their favourite pieces there and then with all clothing shown available to browse and buy in the city. Exeter BID is also supporting this month’s Fore Street Flea. This popular market will take place on Sunday 24th September. Fore Street will be shut to traffic to enable shoppers to browse along the street while shops and stands spill out on to the road with a selection of art, craft, food and bric-a-brac.
