Michaelmas Fair comes to Powderham
Powderham Castle, the family seat of the Earl and Countess of Devon, is the setting for this year’s Michaelmas Fair, which is hosted by ABF The Soldiers’ Charity. The Soldiers’ Charity is the National Charity of the British Army.
The Fair will be a chance to undertake some early Christmas shopping whilst enjoying the grandiose surroundings of the Castle. The Music Room is just one of the many rooms that will be housing stalls selling jewellery, accessories, china, cards, clothing, soft furnishings, books, Christmas puddings, handbags, and a wide range of gifts.
All proceeds from the Fair will support ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, the Army’s National Charity since 1944. The Charity supports soldiers, veterans and their immediate families in time of need, throughout their lives.
Bearnes Hampton and Littlewood are the sponsors of the event, with their specialists Lucy Marles and Martin McIlroy on hand to give free verbal valuations of jewellery, watches, militaria and silver.
The Fair will be held on 5th November from 10am-3pm. Tickets cost £3 in advance from Exeter Visitor Information and Tickets 01392 665885 or ABF The Soldiers’ Charity on 01392 496412, or £5 on the day. Parking is free.
