Michelmores Charity Run well supported
The 15th annual Michelmores Charity Run attracted 800 runners, who competed in the 5K city centre course, starting in Cathedral Yard and finishing at Exeter Castle.
Started by polar explorer Ann Daniels, the men’s race was won by Gwylym Gibson with Ellie Sutcliffe the first women home. Ian Lynch and Karen Cook won the veterans competitions while Atass won the corporate event.
Francis Clark entered the largest team with Nike Run Club Exeter being the first running club to finish.
Marketing Director Louise Edwards said: “Thank you to all the runners and sponsors, who made the evening so special."
A full list of finishers and their times can be viewed at www.michelmores.com/charityrun.
This year, the run is expected to raise over £25,000 for the charity Macmillan Cancer Support, bringing the total raised by the event over 15 years to nearly £300,000.
