Person treated for smoke inhalation after garage fire
Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue have reported that it received several calls from the public regarding a building fire in a garage in the St Thomas area of Exeter.
A Fire Service spokesperson said: "Two pumps from Middlemoor and Danes Castle were mobilised to attend the incident, and a third appliance was also required due to the increased calls from the public.
"Four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and a covering jet were used to control the fire. An ambulance was requested to assist one minor casualty at the incident suffering from smoke inhalation. A fourth appliance was requested for increased manpower as the fire had spread to the eaves of an adjoining property. Six breathing apparatus, a short extension ladder, roof ladder and thermal imaging camera were used to bring the fire under control."
Crews are now making the area safe.
