Rugby wives put best feet forward for charity
This pack of rugby "wives" are more used to their more illustrious other halves hogging all the attention, particularly from avid fans.
But the women, whose husbands all play for the top-flight Exeter Chiefs, stepped out of the shadows and into the limelight to promote a charity event.
They were helping to publicise a walk this Saturday which has been organised in aid of Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust, the only UK charity dedicated to women affected by cervical cancer and cervical abnormalities.
Staff at Ashfords solicitors are helping with the Exeter walk, one of nine across the country, during Cervical Screening Awareness Week in next month.
Liz Gibson, one of the firm's Exeter partners, said: "The trust was adopted as our charity of the year after one of our solicitors in the Bristol office lost a family member to cervical cancer.
"We are committed to not just raising much-needed funds but also, and as importantly, raising awareness of cervical cancer.
"We are delighted and very grateful to the Chiefs' other team for turning out and helping us with this."
Robert Music, director of Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust said nine women are diagnosed with cervical cancer in the UK every day.
The 5k Walk for Fun starts from Exeter Quay at 10am on June 15.
