The Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust is holding an open day to recruit more nurses.

The Trust is looking for experienced and newly-qualified nurses to bolster its teams at North Devon District Hospital, in community hospitals and supporting people in their homes.

The Trust is also recruiting physiotherapists and occupational therapists (OTs).

The open day is taking place at Honiton Hospital on Monday 25 April, from 10am to 3pm.

Darryn Allcorn, director of workforce and development, said: “We are keen to enhance our nursing and therapy teams, who do a fantastic job providing safe, quality care for our patients.

“We have a number of exciting opportunities across our acute and community services in North, Mid and East Devon – for experienced nurses, physiotherapists and OTs seeking a new challenge, for nurses looking to return to practice and for students due to qualify from university before April 2017.”

People attending the open day can meet clinical, recruitment and workforce development staff and have a tour of the hospital.

Mr Allcorn said: “Open days offer a great chance for candidates and ourselves to learn more about each other.

“Our staff will be able to tell you what it’s like to work for the Trust, how you can fast-track your application and about the many training and development opportunities we offer.

“Nurses can also find out about our innovative rotational posts, working across acute and community settings, and have an interview on the day.”

Candidates have a variety of options in terms of applying for jobs, attending an open day and having an interview.
