Update: Camper van overturns on M5

Update: The Road is now cleared.

A earlier accident involving an overturned camper van on the M5 is causing delays betwen Exeter and Exminister.

The road i snow mostly clear but the problem persists after  two southbound lanes of the motorway were blocked.

The accident took place between J30, A376 (Exeter) and J31, A30 (Exminster) sometime \t around 11:45 this morning (2 June).

Emergecny services are at the scene and the incident is ongoing.

Fire crews were called to the scene confirmed that the incident involved an overturned camper van and that two persons were trapped. 

A spokesman for the fire service writes: "One male person was able to self rescue and was unharmed.  One female person was released through the front windscreen by Fire Service personnel using small tools and a powered saw, she was then conveyed to hospital by ambulance."

It is currently unclear as to the nature of her injuries.
