Tongan team's toaster teaser

Hidden among the Tonga Rugby World Cup team's kit and boot bags is ... a four slice toaster!

When the lads disembarked at the city's Mercure Exeter Southgate Hotel fresh from training, a sneaky peek inside the luggage hold revealed the electrical appliance tucked to one side.

Although we have found a recipe online for Tonga Toast  that involves a using pan.

So they are either plugging in the device at Exeter University, where their training is taking place, or they took a trip to the Matford Car Boot sale at the weekend.

They have soon settled into life in the city although there was one embarrassing encounter when the owner of a new gym (not recognising them) asked if they wanted to join!

A friend of one of the players said: "They are a great bunch of lads and will enjoy every minute of their stay."
