(NewsPoint) –The names of donors to the English Defence League have allegedly been leaked by hackers 'Z Company Hacking Crew', following an attack on their official website.

On Friday 'ZHC' claimed: leak consists of names addresses and email Ids of 25 #EDL donors #OpRacism before later posting the list.

The hacking group used the site’s takeover to accuse EDL of misusing donated funds, and allegedly believe that some members were tricked into donating money.

The controversial, far-right group, have contested the claim that any information was leaked stating:

'The group managed to take over our web domain but have not managed to breach our server – meaning that users’ information has not been compromised and we have been able to quickly move all of our content to the new domain.'

Despite denying any leak, the group's leaders have reportedly advised concerned members to contact the authorities if they fear for their own safety; and the police have already launched a criminal investigation into the security breach according to the Telegraph.

Similar attacks have seen Anti-Fascist Action (ANTIFA) members break into a private forum used by the Blood & Honor neo-Nazi network and leak an 800 MB-large database of member information and discussions. The British National Party has also been subject to online attacks resulting in the exposure of their own membership list.
