Military Wives Choir to come to Princesshay for album signing and pamper day
The Military Wives Choir will grace Princesshay shopping centre for the national release of their new album, ‘Stronger Together’, on Monday (November 5).
Twenty of the wives will spend the day pampering themselves around the centre before an album signing and performance between 2 – 2.30pm.
Throughout the day, the wives will visit a whole host of shops and indulge themselves in all sorts of treatments including hand pampering at Molton Brown and relaxation treatments at The Cove Beauty with some of the ladies having their hair cut and styles at SAKS hair salon.
They will enjoy coffee at Coffee1 and take lunch in the popular restaurant, Nandos.
As for the album launch, shoppers will be treated to an acoustic performance from the choir and then invited to purchase signed copies of the new album.
Formed by Gareth Malone, the Military Wives Choir originally featured on the fourth series of BBC2’s: The Choir. Music and singing was thought to help the women through difficult times of worry and separation while their husbands were deployed to Afghanistan.
Their first single, “Wherever you are” became the fastest selling single in six years, and captured the enviable Christmas number 1 spot. Originally, the choir was built up of local army bases in Devon, and has recently nationally expanded since its rapid success.
Initially formed in the South West, the wives will headline at the anticipated Christmas light switch on at Princesshay shopping centre on Thursday November 22nd.
